Toumaz CEO Keith Errey Invited Speaker at OECD Experts Conference

Toumaz Technology CEO and Co-Founder Keith Errey will be an invited speaker at an upcoming Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) conference in Lisbon, Portugal.

The two-day Experts Conference, "Using Sensor-Based Networks to Address Global Issues: Policy Opportunities and Challenges", will be held on 8-9 June 2009. Keith Errey will be joining representatives from the Continua Alliance and UCLA in the "Health and Elderly Care" panel (Session 1, 8th June).

The Experts Conference will bring together participants from government, the private sector and the civil society as well as from the research and academic communities for brainstorming and debate of a broad range of issues such as innovation, economy, technology, and policy development.

The conference will discuss sensor networks in relation to health and elderly care, transportation and the protection of the environment. It will address economic, social and technical drivers and challenges including innovation, information security, privacy and infrastructure issues.

The overarching goal of the Conference is to help policy makers to understand Sensor-Based Networks and their potential contribution to economic and social welfare, and to identify how to further stimulate innovation in this area and foster the development of these technologies.
