Dr Alison Burdett, Chief Technology Officer for Toumaz Technology, will be giving a talk at an upcoming Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) event in Oxford on Wednesday 2nd December 2009.
The talk, entitled "Health monitoring of the future: wearable diagnositics", will be delivered as part of a programme of events run by the Oxford network of the IET. The evening event is being held at the Milton Park Innovation Centre in Abingdon.
Dr Burdett will discuss the revolutionary developments in ultra-low power silicon chip technology which have enabled the creation of Sensium - Toumaz's wireless sensor interface platform employing AMx technology. The tiny, non-intrusive, locally intelligent Sensium system-on-a-chip is able to acquire, process, transmit and receive data at nanowatt power levels.
